Fifa president Sepp Blatter has taken on board the outcry for goalline technology and will consider the implementation at a meeting in July. The decision comes in the wake of Frank Lampard's goal that never was against Germany, with Blatter issuing an apology to the English Football Association in the wake of the incident.

Rafael Nadal looked over his injury worries as he stormed into the Wimbledon quarter-finals with a straight sets win over Paul-Henri Mathieu. World number one Nadal had some injury problems during his five-set win over Philipp Petzschner in the last round, but looked on top form as he beat his French opponent 6-4 6-2 6-2 on Court One.
